Montpellier Wedding | Roman & Cindy
The moment they met each other, they knew they had a special connection. It was such a joyous journey to be part of! I photographed Roman & Cindy’s engagement (view their video here) and it was such an honour to have been their Montpellier wedding photographer as well 🙂
How they met: “After finishing matric, I left for Germany for a few weeks to work overseas. A week before I had to leave back to South Africa, I spotted a cute guy in the local bar. My friends noted this and introduced him to me at a New Year’s party a few days later. It was really love at first sight. “
The proposal: “Five and a half years later, we were back in South Africa on holiday. We had plans to meet with Tiger and Cass (my brother and his girlfriend) for a special last dinner together for that holiday. We got ready and left for Cape Town. We first went to one of Cape Town’s cute coffee shops for an afternoon pickup and a little walk on the promenade in Sea Point. We still had an hour before our dinner reservation (well so I thought) so we went to my favourite place in the world, Bakoven Beach. We were enjoying the sun, took a few pictures and were chatting. The next minute Roman was down on his knee and next few moments are still a blank. Happy tears were coming down my face and the “yes” was said. After about half an hour alone, my family surprised us and joined in on the celebrations. We enjoyed dinner together and spent the evening/night at the Camps Bay Retreat.”
What they wanted for their wedding day: “We would love to have an aesthetic, memorable and intimate wedding day.”
