Wedding at Zorgvliet
Simon & Lia’s colourful wedding took place at Zorgvliet Wines in Stellenbosch, leaving everyone in awe of its beauty. The vibrant decorations and floral arrangements by Bouwer Flowers, brought life to the venue, transforming it into a stunning haven of colors. The couple, surrounded by their loved ones, celebrated their special day in style. Friends and family from all corners of the globe gathered to witness this joyous occasion.
Southern Sound made sure everyone was on the dancefloor and dancing the night away. The air was filled with laughter, love, and happiness as people from different cultures and backgrounds came together to celebrate the union of two souls. This wedding truly showcased the power of love and how it transcends geographical boundaries. The day was filled with heartfelt speeches, heartfelt speeches, and joyful celebrations, leaving unforgettable memories for everyone involved. Zorgvliet Wines provided the perfect backdrop for this magical event, adding to the already breathtaking atmosphere. It was a day where love, unity, and happiness were the stars, and everyone present felt blessed to be a part of it.
What they were most excited about for the wedding: “To have our family & friends together in one place even though they come from 3 different continents. To see the result of all the planning for our big day.”
How the engagement happened: “Simon worked in close contact with his parents to organize the design of the ring with the under carriage of the ring resembling a protea which signifies his roots that are then Lia’s. We then flew to Cape Town visit family and on the first evening, Simon proposed to Lia at the tidal pool in Camps Bay (which hold’s a special place in his heart having grown up nearby and when running always thinking that that’s where he would like to propose one day.) The evening was made even more special because those most important to us were able to witness such a special moment. It is a day we will never forget.”

How they knew they were meant for each other: “We met over New Years and saw each other the following night and then not for a year again but messaged every day since then. The missing each other even though we had just briefly met and weren’t together was a sign of something special.”
