What to keep in mind for a winter wedding in Cape Town:
Weather
Of course, the weather is most important. You have to be prepared for a rainy day, so have umbrellas ready for you and your guests.
Time of your ceremony
The sun sets a lot earlier in the winter, so if you are having an afternoon wedding, your ceremony should start around 2pm.
Morning weddings are also great in the winter.
Venue choice
Be sure to choose a venue that has a covered/inside option for the ceremony and pre-drinks. Consider a venue with a fireplace, it adds to the cozy feeling of a winter wedding.
Wedding dress
Now is your chance to wear a wedding dress with sleaves 🙂
Photography
If it rains on your wedding day, be ready to move things around so that you can still have a few couple photos taken outside (when it is not raining). Or be prepared to have photos taken with umbrellas.
Make it cozy
Think fireplace, blankets, warm drinks. Anything that will add to the warmth of the day 🙂
