I'm Coba Sophia,
I offer Photography Classes in Cape Town. I’ve been a photographer since 2009. Having photographed more than 350 weddings and 100’s of lifestyle sessions. It has been one great adventure!
If you are a beginner photographer who just wants to practice it as a hobby or you want to grow your current photography business; I would love to help you.
For me photography isn’t simply about taking professional photographs,
but about helping others succeed in photography. To help you see that you can be a purposeful photographer.

Teaching and mentoring other photographers started when I realised that there are so many photographers who are where I was 15 years ago. Feeling overwhelmed and not knowing the next steps, I wish there was someone who could help me.
Trust me, it does not happen overnight, but if you are willing to put in the work (purposeful work, not the ‘rise and grind’ type of work), then you will succeed!
I strive to foster an environment where you can be yourself and where I can teach you how to be confident & fearless in life and your career. I offer one-on-one mentoring classes, specifically designed for those who want to learn photography basics or grow their current photography business. Wanting to learn more and get some direction.
You can choose 3-4 topics you want to discuss; photography basics (ISO, Shutter speed etc.), finding your ideal client, social media, preparing for photoshoots & weddings, client experience, editing, workflow, blogging, websites etc.
We meet in a relaxed environment (in the Northern Suburbs) over a cup of coffee, because everything is better with coffee 🙂
1-ON-1 ONLINE SESSION
R650 P/HOUR
In the comfort of your own home; Q&A style. We can discuss 2 topics in an hour (it depends on how much advice you would like).
Topics can be anything from; posing, directing, lighting, client experience, social media, websites, pricing, editing, etc… This session is perfect for non-local beginners who are looking to invest in their business and learn about how to run a successful photography business.
