Wedding Photography Workshop

wedding photography workshop cape town

As I look back on the past few months, hosting my first wedding photography workshop in Cape Town, it has been such an amazing journey.

9 Years after I first started my photography career, it was a big, but yet exciting step to take by hosting my first photography workshop. The workshop was all about building your wedding portfolio, and how to go about it. And I had so much fun (even though I was a bit nervous) teaching on how to take photos for your portfolio, and at a wedding.

This was the first of many, as I love sharing what I have learned. As I know all too well what it feels like starting out as a photographer.

Thank you to the following incredible photographers who attended, you have all enriched my life and I am so thankful for you:

Candice Clarke, Charmé Kriel, Jenna Visser, Micaela van Staden, Shanie Jooste, Tammy Yule & Veronique Stofberg. Keep an eye out for these ladies in the photography world, they are all so very talented!

I would love to thank all the service providers and sponsors involved:

Venue and catering: Eureka Estate

Dress: Didi Couture

Make-up and hair: Clarita Smit MUA

Decor: My Green Love Affair

Stationery: Lezanne’s Designs

Shoes: Imaani Bridal

Behind the scenes photo & video: Miko

Vouchers: Creative Albums, Orms (north), Lens Love Accessories.

Models: Zander & Talitha (I photographed their wedding 2 years ago, and was so excited to have them in front of my camera again!)

I mean, how cute are they? 🙂

I just loved the decor by Lauren & Jenna from My Green Love Affair – simplistic, yet elegant greenery 🙂

As you can see in the photo below, I am very serious about the detail shots 😉

Beautiful stationery below by Lezanne’s Designs.

I had a great time teaching and giving feedback – this is so vital in a photographer’s career.

A photo of myself with the beautiful ladies 🙂 We just missed Charme in the photo, as she had to leave earlier.

A message to my attendees: “Firstly, thank you for attending – you made it all worth it for me! Here is to your future as photographers; may you bloom where you are planted and know everyday that your purpose is great!
You can face your photography career without fear!”
