Werner & Janine’s beautiful wedding at Het Vlock Casteel. It was a rainy winter’s day, but that did not steal their joy 🙂
Their proposal story: He was so nervous and I didn’t make it very easy I suppose. We had our Christmas Meal with my family and his parents. Everyone went to their beds for an afternoon nap, he went to his vehicle to get the ring he had hidden there (I heard the sound when he locked it) and went to his parents to tell them that he is going to ask me to marry him. We didn’t go for a walk along the beach as it was a little windy and I am not a huge fan of it. We went to our mattress where we slept throughout Christmas and talked. It was a normal conversation, leading to what ifs and I teased him saying that it probably is good thing that he didn’t propose as I had gained some weight since he had bought the ring. He asked me if I wanted to try it on to see if that is the case and I responded with a “no I am certain that it won’t fit” He asked me again if I would like to try it on and I replied with “if I try it on, does that mean that you are asking me? Because it won’t be that simple” He said “I am trying to ask you to marry me!” and I got quiet and said “okay, you may ask” He asked me if I would marry him and I asked him if I can think about it (with a smile and a wink) He got a little shaky and said I shouldn’t think too long, and I said “OFF COURSE I will marry you, you made me wait so long, I had to think about it. There was never a doubt about it”
