Matt & Jenna

Nooitgedacht, Stellenbosch

A spectacular autumn wedding at Nooitgedacht in Stellenbosch. Their wedding inspiration was simple and elegant with touches of Paris.

Their story: “We grew up together in Cape Town (our older brothers became best friends on the first day of school which led our families to become very close). We have a 6 year age gap so I was always the ‘little annoying girl’ growing up. When Matt was about 16 his family moved to the UK and although we visited them I didn’t see him for a few years until he came back on holiday at the end of 2011 and we met up by chance on a night out. As it turned out I was about to leave for a gap year in London a few weeks later (where Matt was now living) and his dad was going to be taking over a suitcase of mine as I had too many bags. Matt then convinced his dad to let him take the extra suitcase instead so I had an excuse to come and visit him! Needless to say we’ve been together and happily in love ever since!”

Tips you could pass on to other brides in the planning process?
“Don’t forget that it’s meant to be fun and YOUR day. It’s great to want everyone to be happy but at the end of the day the most important thing is that you’re happy.”
