Alex & Cassandra

Backsberg

“Alex proposed to me on a wine farm, Rickety Bridge, we had booked to do the Franschhoek wine tram, which is essentially my most perfect day. The winelands are my favourite area and going from wine farm to wine farm doing different tastings is my favourite thing to do. He had checked with my brother who has also been to many of the wine farms which one on our route would be the best to propose at. He had arranged with people on the tram to get pictures of the whole thing and to record the whole proposal for us which was so thoughtful, I was so taken a back by the moment afterwards it felt like a blur so it was really special to have those photos. We both cried pretty much all the way through his speech and even afterwards. The best part actually was that both our phones were flat and there was no power, so we couldn’t make any calls right away, we just got to be in the bubble together and he could tell me the whole story of the engagement, how he chose the diamond, he and why he chose that setting, the planning that was involved, that story is as special as the proposal itself, it made me feel so special.”

I loved every moment of Alex & Cassandra’s beautiful outdoor wedding at Backsberg Wine Estate. 🙂
